Launch of the National Network for Fostering Sibling Connections
Foster youth in the U.S. often face separation from their siblings. To combat this we are forming the National Network for Fostering Sibling Connections. If you’d like to get involved or share your own feedback or experiences please use this form. Share Feedback:
Foster Care Advocacy Project
In our Foster Care Advocacy Project, With Lived Experience provides consultation on how to incorporate and support authentic youth, family, and caregiver involvement. We also plan to host forums and webinars, and present research and reports on issues raised by systems involved youth, families, and caregivers.
Chosen Family Project
In our LGBTQ+ Polyamorous Chosen Family Project we host community forums, discussion groups, and events to support people of various gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship orientations.
Mental Health Advocacy Project
With Lived Experience supports a by-students, alumni, and family project at Yale in honor of Rachael Shaw-Rosenbaum and others lost too soon to suicides on campus. This group, Elis for Rachael, is surveying students, family, and alumni, researching what works and what doesn’t, raising funds to provide needed supports in a timely manner, and seeking to change policies on campus.
