-
Non-Profit Leadership: With a background in leading initiatives that empower marginalized communities, I can guide you in developing leadership skills that inspire and mobilize others.
Social Justice: Having worked extensively with foster youth and advocacy organizations, I can provide insights on how to create inclusive programs and drive meaningful social reform.
About Me
I’m Lily Colby, a passionate advocate for social change and former foster youth. My work has been recognized on platforms like Good Morning America, where I share my experiences and insights on LGBTQAI pride and advocacy. I’ve collaborated with the ABA Center on Children and the Law to enhance the engagement of current and former foster youth in legislative processes, emphasizing the importance of listening to those with lived experience.
I was proud to assist in drafting legislation that supports caregivers and improves educational access for foster youth, which passed unanimously in the California legislature. My journey from foster care to graduating from Berkeley Law has fueled my commitment to reform and empowerment.
